The USC Trojans have been putting in work to rebuild pipelines with the great high schools of Los Angeles. One of those schools that has recently fallen out of favor with the Trojans is the powerhouse that is Mater Dei.
Well, since GM Chad Bowden has arrived, that has changed as Lincoln Riley and all of the staff have gone all in on California and are establishing a wall around the State of Los Angeles.
One prospect that Coach Henderson, Coach Nua, and the rest of the staff have been doing a ton of work with behind the scenes is elite 4-star defensive lineman Tomuhuni Topui.
Topui had been committed to the Oregon Ducks since last October but just announced his decommitment today.

A source close to LAFB has predicted Topui to flip to USC, and many other predictions and crystal balls have begun to pour in.
From On3, Scott Schrader, Steve Wiltfong, and Chad Simmons have all put in predictions for the Trojans to land Topui. 247 Sports has also put in a crystal ball for USC.

Topui is the 13th-ranked DL in the 247 Sports rankings and the 15th-ranked in their full composite rankings. If he does indeed commit to SC, he will join Jaimeon Winfield (8th-ranked), Simote Kataonga (11th-ranked), Braeden Jones (18th-ranked), and Andrew Williams as the 5th DL/EDGE in the 2026 class.
At 6’2, 330 pounds, Topui would be an elite defender in this defense that has been prioritizing big bodies in the trenches to compete in the Big Ten.
