The USC Trojans continue hard on the recruitment trail as they schedule more visits ahead of spring ball kicking off. One of their priority recruits, 4-star running back Deshonne Redeaux, has set his commitment date for April 5, per On3’s Chad Simmons.
“I will be announcing my commitment at a birthday celebration on April 5,” Redeaux told On3. “I am ready. The offers are here, I have taken a lot of visits and I know what is best for me.”
USC Trojans Priority Recruit Deshonne Redeaux To Announce Commitment On April 5
That is just around the corner, and as it currently stands, USC is firmly in the lead in all the recruiting predictions.
On3 has put in multiple predictions for the Trojans to earn his commitment and currently sits at 98.7% in their recruiting prediction machine. 247 Sports has also put in a crystal ball for the USC Trojans.
“It came down to where I feel I can build my legacy, become a game-changer on and off the field, and where I can make that early impact,” Redeaux told On3.
Regardless, Redeaux still has a few days before he announces his decision. He announced his Top 6 back in February, which included:
- Georgia
- Michigan
- Oregon
- Washington
- UCLA
- USC
Redeaux is currently the 13th-ranked running back in the 2026 class, just behind USC commit Shahn Alston, per On3 Industry Rankings. Last season at Oaks Christian, he ran for over 1,200 yards and garnered 17 touchdowns.
He is also a track star, and Greg Biggins of 247 Sports has comped him to Detroit Lions star Jahmyr Gibbs. If he commits to the Trojans, he would be the 2nd running back in the class, and would further demonstrate Lincoln Riley’s commitment to building a wall around California.
