USC Trojans Set Visit With Priority Offensive Line Transfer

During the winter transfer portal window, the USC Trojans added two offensive linemen who are both seen as starters heading into the 2025 season.

DJ Winfield should win the starting left guard position, and J’Onre Reed is seen as the starting center. Incumbants Elijah Paige, Alani Noa, and Tobias Raymond will likely round out the starting five, but Coach Lincoln Riley has stated during spring camp that they are working through a number of different rotations, and the starting lineup is not yet set.

Regardless, the unit could use more depth as it is a very young and inexperienced room. Enter Bryce George, a former offensive tackle for Ferris State who has entered the transfer portal.

USC Trojans Set Up Visit With Transfer Portal Offensive Lineman Bryce George

So far, according to Pete Nakos of On3, George has set up three visits: Cal, Iowa, and the USC Trojans.

George is 6’5 and weighs 315 pounds, so he certainly fits the size profile that USC is looking for.

In high school, he played tight end and defensive line before switching to the offensive side at Ferris State. He is a 3-star transfer prospect, but with limited offensive line options in the spring portal, he should be highly coveted, so it is good on USC to get a visit set up early.

He would add great depth and experience and could even compete for the starting right tackle spot while also pushing Paige to stay at the top of his game.

A date for his visit has not been announced yet, but the portal officially opens on Wednesday, so it should be sometime shortly after that.
