The NFL Combine official workouts and measurements for the incoming class of defensive linemen are set to start today from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. (PT). Multiple guys have much to prove to boost their stock and impress teams in Indianapolis. Here are five edge defenders to keep your eye on as they look to make the most of their time at the NFL Combine.
Potential EDGE Standouts At NFL Combine
Shemar Stewart, Texas A&M

Shemar Stewart is a guy that I have been incredibly high on since his time at the Senior Bowl. The 6’6” 290-pound defender is currently the 5th-ranked edge defender and 20th overall prospect, according to PFF.
The former Aggie finished his college career with 65 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 4 pass deflections through 3 seasons in College Station. Stewart didn’t put up the greatest numbers at Texas A&M, but his speed and physicality are what draw NFL scouts to his game. Stewart is expected to be a 1st Round selection with plenty of upside.
Landon Jackson, Arkansas

Landon Jackson is a monster of a defender who spent three dominant seasons at Arkansas. The 6’7”, 280-pound Razorback is currently ranked as the 9th edge defender and 39th overall prospect, according to PFF.
Jackson finished his three-year college career with 116 total tackles, 16 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. The Arkansas lineman proved to be one of the best in the SEC last season and has massive potential to be a major success in the NFL. Jackson is expected to be taken early on day 2 of the draft.
David Walker, Central Arkansas
David Walker is an incredibly underrated FCS player who has the potential to be a day-one starter in the NFL. The 6’2”, 260-pound former Bear is currently ranked as the 19th edge defender and the 106th overall prospect, according to PFF.

Walker finished his three-year college career with 184 total tackles, 30 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles. Walker is arguably my favorite FCS player in this year’s draft. He may be undersized, but his work ethic is unbeatable.
Mykel Williams, Georgia

Mykel Williams is one of the biggest names participating in the Combine tomorrow, and that’s for a good reason. The 6’5”, 265-pound former Bulldog is currently the 4th-ranked edge defender and 18th overall ranked prospect, according to PFF.
Williams was a key aspect of the dominant Georgia defense, where he ended his three-year college career with 65 total tackles, 14 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles. Williams has all of the right measurables to succeed in this league and should show out at the NFL Combine.

Donovan Ezeiruaku, Boston College
Donovan Ezeiruaku is an extremely underrated player who could be the steal of the draft. The 6’2”, 247-pound prospect is currently the 8th-ranked edge defender and the 35th overall ranked prospect, according to PFF.
During his four-year stint with Boston College, the former Eagle had 212 total tackles, 8 forced fumbles, and 28 sacks. Ezeiruaku was a force of nature last season for Boston College and is looking forward to doing the same at the NFL Combine.
