The Los Angeles Chargers will have to rebuild their pass rush this offseason, with the team expected to cut Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack testing the open market of free agency.
According to Ryan Fowler of the Draft Network, they already have their eyes on Ahmed Hassanein, an edge rusher NFL draft prospect from Boise State.
“The Los Angeles Chargers are expected to host Boise State ED Hassanein on a 30 visit following the combine, source said. A two-time first-team All-Mountain West honoree, Hassanein led the conference in pressures this fall and has totaled 24 sacks the last two seasons combined.”

The 6 foot 2, 267 pounder was born in Egypt and didn’t start playing organized football until 2019. Despite this, he was able to be a highly productive member of the Broncos.
Over the past two seasons, Hassanein has demonstrated a significant disruptive presence, amassing 32 tackles for loss, including an impressive 24 sacks. He approaches each play with exceptional drive and intensity, showcasing a consistently high motor and unwavering passion. His hand technique is a notable strength, delivering a powerful knock-back upon initial contact. Furthermore, he exhibits a keen ability to execute rapid hand transitions at the point of engagement, allowing him to effectively navigate blockers. Hassanein consistently applies pressure to opposing quarterbacks, demonstrating an ability to reach and impact them with regularity. Throughout his pass rushes, he maintains excellent leverage, keeping his feet active and his pad level low.
The Chargers are meeting with both Boise State products. Junior running back Ashton Jeanty and Hassanein are attending the four-day NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
