The Los Angeles Chargers have notably refrained from making a significant move to acquire a high-profile wide receiver this offseason, contrary to some expectations. Instead, they have opted to re-sign Mike Williams, who has openly expressed his desire for the team to also bring back Keenan Allen, a sentiment seemingly echoed by Allen himself.
Los Angeles Chargers, Brandon Aiyuk Trade Rumors

However, the Chargers’ wide receiver situation is intersecting with developments involving the San Francisco 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, “barring a late deal materializing,” the 49ers are unlikely to trade Aiyuk before a $22.85 million bonus is triggered on Tuesday.
This financial commitment effectively removes Aiyuk from the trade market, as the Chargers, facing their own financial considerations, are unlikely to pursue a player at that price point, especially given Aiyuk’s recent contract and injury history. Consequently, this report serves as a “last call” for any teams harboring even a remote interest in acquiring Aiyuk.
The Chargers, on the other hand, appear to be leaning toward addressing their wide receiver needs through the upcoming draft and potentially re-signing Keenan Allen. This latter move, however, might be delayed due to the NFL’s compensatory pick process, suggesting a later, rather than sooner, resolution.
