There is no question that the Los Angeles Chargers have to rebuild their defense with six of 2024’s 11 starters hitting the open market and Joey Bosa likely getting cut from the team in the near future.
The good news is they currently have $66.7 million in cap space and could add to that number with a few easy moves.
This financial bonanza gives the Chargers a lot of flexibility to attract players through free agency, the draft, and trades. And for whatever reason, it seems like the trade market has become flooded with players demanding a trade — from Deebo Samuel to Myles Garret high caliber players are making themselves available to new teams.
Two more interesting names hit that market on Wednesday morning.
Los Angeles Chargers Trade Candidates
Harold Landry, Edge, Titans

Sources indicate that the Tennessee Titans have granted former Pro Bowl linebacker Harold Landry permission to explore trade opportunities. As reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on X. Landry, who started all 17 games last season, recorded 71 tackles, nine sacks, 18 pressures, and four pass deflections. Over the past three seasons in which he has played, the 28-year-old Landry has accumulated 31.5 sacks and is scheduled to earn a $17.5 million base salary this season.
Following a torn ACL that sidelined him for the entire 2022 season, Landry has successfully returned to form. He delivered a strong performance for the Titans in 2024, recording 71 tackles, nine sacks, and 15 tackles for loss. With no remaining guaranteed money on his contract and the Titans clearly embarking on a rebuilding phase, it’s logical for the team to explore trading him to acquire additional draft capital.
While Landry’s past ACL injury might raise some concerns, his recent performance demonstrates a full recovery, and as he approaches his age-29 season, he is arguably in his prime. Although the Titans may not possess significant leverage in trade negotiations, Landry’s proven track record should generate considerable interest across the league. His situation warrants close attention to see where he ultimately lands.

Jaire Alexander, CB, Packers
Recent reports suggest the Green Bay Packers are prepared to part ways with defensive star Jaire Alexander, fueled by growing frustrations. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Packers have engaged in “trade conversations” regarding the 28-year-old cornerback, indicating a willingness to move him for the right offer.
“Sources: The Packers have had trade conversations centered around star CB Jaire Alexander and they are open to moving him for the right price,” Rapoport wrote on his X account. “Alexander, still just 28 and a two-time Pro Bowler, is considered to be the most decorated CB available.”
Rapoport further highlighted the tradeability of Alexander’s contract, stating, “Jaire Alexander’s contract, which was front-loaded, has just two years and $37M left — very tradable.” This financial aspect adds to the potential appeal for teams considering acquiring the highly regarded cornerback.
