Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has been exceptionally active this offseason, addressing both his team’s roster and his personal health. While the Chargers made notable free agency acquisitions, including potentially securing a new starting center, Harbaugh also underwent two medical procedures.
In a video shared by the Chargers, capturing behind-the-scenes footage of Mike Williams’ return to the team, Harbaugh revealed that he had addressed both his hip and heart concerns.

“Got my hip fixed, got my heart fixed. All patched up,” Harbaugh said. “I’m a new man! With a new energy! Attacking a new day.”
Harbaugh had previously disclosed plans for a cardiac ablation procedure, following health scares last year, and confirmed it was not his first such operation. He also mentioned needing hip replacement surgery. It appears that he has successfully completed both procedures and is now back at the Chargers’ facility, engaging with free agents.
During a Chargers game against the Broncos, Harbaugh experienced an irregular heartbeat, later diagnosed as atrial flutter, which led to his brief exit and treatment in the locker room. He had a heart procedure in 2012 and has dealt with this issue previously
This news is positive on multiple fronts, as the Chargers continue to make significant moves in free agency and prepare for the NFL Draft, marking the lead-up to the second year of the Jim Harbaugh era.
