There is a lot of doubt swirling around the Los Angeles Rams right now. After coming up one play short of reaching the NFC Championship game, they will be moving on from Cooper Kupp and the rumors continue to grow that QB Matthew Stafford could be dealt as well.

In the piece, Jeremy Fowler was the lone insider to predict the LA Rams to make the Super Bowl. In his prediction, they will face the Buffalo Bills at Levi’s Stadium, but lose, giving the Bills their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history.

“The Buffalo breakthrough will happen after the team adds key players this offseason. The Rams are not far off – their defense will be elite next season,” writes Fowler.

This seems to be under the assumption that the Rams and Stafford amend any contract issues and he remains the quarterback. If Stafford does indeed get traded, there will be a lot of uncertainty around where this team can finish.

While adding Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, or Sam Darnold would all be solid bridge options, who is to say that they will gel with the team and run McVay’s offense as well as Stafford can?

As the team is currently constructed, they can make a deep run after adding some depth free agents and another solid draft class, but they will need to iron out the QB situation first and foremost.
