Los Angeles Rams Mock Draft:

1st Round, 26th overall: Tyler Warren, Tight End, Penn State

Tyler Warren is one of the top 2 tight ends in this year’s draft. If Warren falls to the Los Angeles Rams in this spot like to did in my simulation, Rams fans should rejoice. Warren was the key player on Penn State’s offense this year as most of the playbook revolved around the tight end.

PFF currently has Tyler Warren ranked as the 13th overall prospect. Warren had a 91.2 rated senior season according to the PFF analytics. The 6’6” 261-pound prospect had an illustrious career at Penn State in the four years he played for the Nittany Lions. Warren had 153 receptions, 2063 total yards, and 25 total touchdowns. His senior year is what has caught the eyes of several NFL scouts as he dominated in almost every game. In the game against USC Warren had 17 receptions, 224 yards, and 1 touchdown.

The Rams are in desperate need of help at the tight end position as that position group is arguably the weakest heading into this offseason. With Warren’s versatility, the Rams would find themselves who has been the focal point of an offensive and could fill the hole of Cooper Kupp’s soon-to-be absence. Warren has one of the biggest upsides of any tight end in this year’s draft, and the Rams should capitalize on that opportunity if Warren is available with the 26th pick.

3rd Round, 90th overall: Jeffrey Bassa, Linebacker, Oregon

Jeffrey Bassa is a prospect that I have previously written about during his time at the Senior Bowl. There has hardly been any linebacker that I have been more impressed with than Bassa. The Oregon Duck prospect would be a perfect fit alongside Fiske and Verse to give the Rams an impressive young trio.

PFF currently has Jeffrey Bassa ranked as the 79th overall prospect. Bassa had a 73.4 rated senior season according to the PFF analytics. The 6’2” 235-pound prospect put up decent numbers during his time in college. Bassa had 226 total tackles alongside 3 interceptions and 4.5 sacks. Bassa was 5th in tackles for the Ducks this past season as Oregon had a massive season ultimately coming up short in the CFP.

The Los Angeles Rams have a hole at the linebacker position as multiple interior linebackers are potentially testing Free Agency this offseason. Bassa brings a unique skill set to a defense that will surely elevate the Rams if drafted in LA.

3rd Round, 100th overall: Jalen Milroe, Quarterback, Alabama

The Los Angeles Rams could select a quarterback in this draft. Jalen Milroe is a guy that they should look at. Through his time at Alabama, Milroe showed the nation what he could do at the quarterback position and how far his potential could take him.

PFF currently has Milroe ranked as the 96th-ranked prospect. Milroe’s best season according to PFF analytics was the 2023 season where he had an 88.7 ranked year. Throughout his time at Alabama, Milroe had 6016 passing yards, 1577 rushing yards, and 78 total touchdowns. During his final season with the Crimson Tide, the quarterback struggled in some games but played phenomenally for the most part. During his game against Georgia, Milroe threw for 374 yards and rushed for 117 yards. The biggest impact from Milroe in that game was his clutch factor as he threw a game-winning touchdown to Ryan Williams.

Jalen Milroe offers a ton of potential in this league. Coming in at 6’2” and 225 pounds, the Alabama quarterback could spend time behind veteran Matthew Stafford for a couple of years to learn how to throw the ball more consistently. Milroe’s upside in the running game could potentially rival guys like Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels. I believe the Rams could find their quarterback of the future in Jalen Milroe.

4th Round, 126th overall: Jaylin Noel, Wide Reciever, Iowa State

Jaylin Noel spent his entire career with Iowa State where he played consistently in all four years he played as a Cyclone. With his teammate Jayden Higgins getting a ton of attention, Noel could very much be a great fit for the Rams.

PFF currently has Noel as the 117th-ranked prospect. His senior year was his best according to PFF analytics where Jaylin had an 80.5 ranked season. The 5’11” 200-pound receiver may lack size, but his speed more than makes up for it. During his time as a Cyclone, Noel had 244 receptions, 2851 receiving yards, and 18 touchdowns. His best performance from last season came in the game against the Kansas Jayhawks. Noel showed off his speed where he had 8 catches with 167 yards and 2 touchdowns in the loss against Kansas.

With Cooper Kupp on the trade block, the Los Angeles Rams should look to find experienced receivers in the draft. Jaylin Noel would be a massive help to the already talented Rams offense.
