Los Angeles Rams Mock Draft 5.0:
1st Round, 26th overall: Grey Zabel, Offensive Line, North Dakota State

With the Los Angeles Rams’ first pick in the NFL Draft, I decided to take the best player available in Grey Zabel. The former FCS superstar has the strength and ability to be one of the best offensive linemen in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Rams need help with the offensive line, and Zabel has plenty of experience to be a quality starter in the NFL.
PFF currently has Zabel ranked as the 5th-ranked offensive lineman and the 31st overall prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. Zabel spent 5 seasons with North Dakota State, where he accumulated 41 starts across 4 different positions. The 6’6” 305-pound offensive lineman is one of the most highly touted FCS prospects to enter the NFL in quite a while. During the draft process, Zabel has drawn comparisons to Graham Barton.
The Rams adding another lineman to pair alongside LT Alaric Jackson (who signed a 3-year deal extending his tenure with the Rams) would help elevate the offense even further. Protecting your HOF quarterback should be one of the biggest goals of the Rams this offseason. Drafting Zabel would bring another playmaker to the Rams’ offensive line.
3rd Round, 90th overall: Harold Fanin Jr., Tight End, Bowling Green
Finding talent on the offensive side of the ball is essential during the Rams’ draft process this year, and Harold Fannin Jr. is one of the most exciting offensive prospects in the entire 2025 NFL Draft. To be successful in the NFL, you need a top-tier tight end to help in both the running and the passing game. The Bowling Green prospect has the talent to make a lasting impact in this league.
Fannin Jr is currently ranked as the 6th ranked tight end and 100th overall prospect according to PFF. The 6’4” 230-pound prospect spent three seasons with Bowling Green where he had 180 receptions, 2396 receiving yards, and 22 total touchdowns with the Falcons. Fannin Jr had an exceptional junior year with the Falcons where he had insane performances against premier programs Penn State and Texas A&M. The tight end has drawn comparisons to Jonnu Smith during the draft process, but Harold Fannin Jr. is truly one of a kind.
The Bowling Green tight end is a little bulky when running routes, but separates himself from other tight ends in the class through his playmaking abilities. Fannin Jr. would be a great fit on the Rams’ offense alongside Puca Nacua and newly acquired Davonte Adams.
3rd Round, 101st overall: Tez Johnson, Wide Reciever, Oregon
I have the Los Angeles Rams selecting another talented playmaker in the 3rd Round to make the most of Matthew Stafford’s time that he has left. Tez Johnson came into the 2024 college football season as one of the best receivers in the NCAA. Spending his previous two seasons with Oregon has prepared Johnson for the next level and has proven he has the speed to make the transition to play at the next level.
PFF currently has Johnson ranked as the 12th-ranked wide receiver and the 98th overall prospect in the 2025 NFL draft class. Johnson spent 3 seasons with Troy and 2 seasons with Oregon where he earned 310 receptions, 3889 receiving yards, and 29 total touchdowns. Tez had an impressive performance against Penn State in the Big Ten Championship game where he had 11 catches for 181 yards and 1 touchdown. Johnson has received comparisons to Paul Richardson during the draft process.
The Rams have proven how much they value the offensive side of the ball during McVay’s tenure as head coach. Johnson brings another fun option in the slot in the absence of Cooper Kupp.
4th Round, 127th overall: Jack Kiser, Linebacker, Notre Dame
With the first defensive pick in this Los Angleles Rams’ mock draft, I have the Rams drafting Jack Kiser. Kiser had a massive leadership presence at Notre Dame where he achieved five seasons of experience under Brian Kelly and Marcus Freeman. Finding a known and proven defender in the 4th Round is a massive win in this league.
PFF currently has Kiser as the 7th-ranked linebacker and the 131st-overall prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. During his five-year tenure with the Fighting Irish, Kiser produced 276 total tackles, 7 forced fumbles, and four interceptions. Kiser improved each season he played and could improve even further under the tutelage of NFL minds and veterans on the Rams’ defense.
The Rams need help in the linebacker room, and Kiser brings plenty of experience and talent. The 6’2” 231-pound defender can fit perfectly alongside Braden Fiske and Jared Verse as one of the most talented young trios on the defensive side of the ball.
