As the NFL Draft approaches, teams are actively evaluating prospects through official visits and pro day meetings. The Los Angeles Rams, in their process of finalizing their draft board, have shown particular interest in Nebraska tight end Thomas Fidone II, a potential Day 3 selection. According to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, Rams senior personnel executive Marty Barrett met with Fidone on Tuesday, preceding the Cornhuskers’ pro day.
Los Angeles Rams Met With Huskers Thomas Fidone

“Fidone is a sleeper in what is turning out to be a solid tight end class. He looked good catching the ball in drills Tuesday after combine testing numbers that would be characterized anywhere from good to outstanding. Fidone met with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday evening and met extensively with the Vikings as well as Rams senior personnel executive Marty Barrett on Tuesday. He has an official-30 visit lined up with the New Orleans Saints and an individual workout scheduled with the Buffalo Bills,” Pauline reported.
Fidone, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 243 pounds, demonstrated solid athletic capabilities at the NFL Combine. His 4.7-second 40-yard dash, 35.5-inch vertical jump, and 10-foot, 6-inch broad jump highlighted his physical attributes. In his final season with the Cornhuskers, Fidone recorded 36 receptions for 373 yards, although he did not score a touchdown.
Given the Rams’ expressed interest, Fidone emerges as a viable Day 3 target, particularly if the team opts against selecting a tight end in the earlier rounds of the draft. His combination of size and athleticism, coupled with his performance at the combine and pro day, make him an intriguing prospect for the Rams.
