Cooper Kupp informed the world that the Los Angeles Rams were seeking to trade the All-Pro wide receiver early on in the 2025 NFL offseason.
Nothing has materialized on that front thus far, causing some to wonder if the Rams may engage with Kupp at the negotiating table. This is something the two parties have yet to do.
Cooper Kupp Returning To Los Angeles Rams Least Likely Scenario

Head coach Sean McVay added some fuel to the return speculation when he told reporters that he was open to the idea of Kupp returning.
But according to ESPN’s Sarah Barshop, Les Snead called that scenario the least likely — meaning the team will likely cut the 31-year-old before re-working his current contract.
“Les Snead said the Rams are looking to find a trade partner for Cooper Kupp and while he didn’t rule out the receiver staying, he said that’s the “least likely” option. Sean McVay said on Monday that the Rams had not had conversations with Kupp about restructuring his deal.”
Kupp signed a three-year, $80 million contract extension with the team in 2022 and has cap hits of $29.7 million and $27.3 million in 2025 and 2026, respectively. However, only $5 million of his salary for next season is guaranteed, and none is guaranteed in 2026.
