Ever since the Los Angeles Rams shipped Cooper Kupp out of their building, NFL analysts have been trying to link the team to the next Cooper Kupp. ESPN’s Jordan Reid has done that with Texas Christian wide receiver Jack Bech.
“He is exactly their type,” Reid said. “He’s a great run-after-catch guy, he can go up and climb the ladder and be really good. I think he’s aced the pre-draft process. He was awesome at the Senior Bowl. I think he was the best receiver there, in my opinion. The most consistent one there. He blocks his tail off in the run game. He just has a lot of qualities that they’ve looked for from some of these third-, fourth, fifth-round receivers that they have drafted in years past. Jack Bech to the Rams is one I’m going to continue to slot him at in every single mock draft.
“I think it’s such a perfect fit. He’s so Rams-coded. He checks every single box that they’ve looked for in years past. … I would be shocked if he’s not very high on their board.”
More Los Angeles Rams Comps For Jack Bech

Reid isn’t the only one noticing the similarities. ESPN NFL analyst Ben Solak agrees with him.
“Kupp is a lofty comparison for about any wide receiver, but Bech wins in shockingly similar ways to Kupp,” Solak wrote. “Bech (TCU) is tough as nails and catches everything over the middle of the field. He becomes a fast runner immediately after the catch. Kupp and Bech excelled in agility tests, like the three-cone and short shuttle, as 200-plus pound receivers, highlighting their unique blend of big-bodied change of direction.”
To put an even finer point on it The Athletic’s Dane Brugler compared him to Puka Nacua, “Overall, Bech’s acceleration is more build-up than immediate, and he will need to prove himself versus NFL press coverage, but he is urgent as a route runner with the ball-winning skills and competitive personality that will play. He has experience both inside and outside, and his play style is reminiscent of Puka Nacua.”
