The Los Angeles Rams are fixated on the 2025 NFL Draft, with the first round kicking off Thursday. Yet, on Tuesday, when head coach Sean McVay addressed the media, he took time to address some Rams rumors too.
One was whether the Rams have put any thought into reuniting with seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who has been placed on the trade block by the Miami Dolphins.
After their previous success, where Ramsey helped the Rams win Super Bowl LVI, coach McVay wouldn’t rule out a reunion with the three-time All-Pro.
“There’s a lot of layers that would need to be worked out with a player of his magnitude, but you would never eliminate the possibility of adding a total stud.”

Ramsey has a $16.6 million cap hit for the 2025 season, but then his three-year, $72 million contract extension kicks in. Whether the Rams are willing to fork over that much cash for the 30-year-old remains to be seen.
However, this could be a situation that bears watching as the 2025 NFL Draft unfolds. If the Dolphins can draft Ramsey’s replacement, it could grease the wheels for a trade. Yet, if the Rams address the cornerback position early on, perhaps they’d no longer have interest in forking over more draft capital for Ramsey too.
