Los Angeles Rams OL Shares Offseason Procedure, Will Be Limited In OTA

Los Angeles Rams team reporter Stu Jackson reported Monday afternoon via X.com that, right tackle “Rob Havenstein confirmed he got both shoulders cleaned out this offseason, but nothing that constituted an actual repair. He’ll be limited during OTAs this spring but expects to be ready to go for training camp.”

Rob Havenstein, 32, has been a consistent presence on the Rams’ offensive line since being drafted by the team in 2015. In 2024, he started 11 regular-season games and both of the team’s postseason contests.

He has two stints on the injury report in 2024. The first two were due to an ankle injury that kept him out of Weeks 1 and 9-11. He missed Weeks 17 and 18 due to a shoulder injury.

Playing 805 snaps in 2024, Havenstein allowed 23 pressures and three sacks.

Havenstein’s durability has become a big topic of conversation as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, with some analysts asserting that the team should use their first-round pick (No. 26) on a player to serve as Havenstein’s successor.

The Rams currently have Warren McClendon, a 2023 5th-round pick, as Havenstein’s backup. McClendon filled in for Havenstein last season when he was out, playing 281 snaps at right tackle. He allowed 14 pressures and five sacks in that time.
