Rams Legend Hired To Deion Sanders’ Coaching Staff At Colorado

On the eve of the 2025 Hall of Fame inductions, one Rams legend, Torry Holt, was snubbed, while another Rams legend, Marshall Faulk just got his first coaching job at the college level.

Deion Sanders Hires Rams Legend Marshall Faulk As Running Backs Coach

After a few weeks of speculation that Deion Sanders would leave Colorado for the Dallas Cowboys job, or the NFL in general, he has now added another NFL legend to his coaching staff. Colorado already has Hall of Famer Warren Sapp on staff. Faulk was in the same Hall of Fame class with Sapp and Sanders (2011).

This will be Marshall Faulk’s first coaching job as he has zero prior experience. But it is safe to that his resume should speak for itself.

Faulk’s playing career was spent with both the Indianapolis Colts and Rams. He won Super Bowl XXXIV with the Rams during the 1999 season. In totality, he finished with 12,279 yards, 100 touchdowns, 4.3 yards per carry, 767 receptions, 6,875 receiving yards, and 36 receiving touchdowns.

Faulk will have his work cut out for him as Colorado finished dead last in the Big 12 in rushing yards per game, averaging a paltry 65.2. Arizona was the next worst, and they averaged 105.8.
