Los Angeles Rams Hire New Tight Ends Coach

After losing Tight Ends Coach Nick Haley to the Houston Texans open OC role, the Los Angeles Rams have filled the open spot on their staff.

Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the LA Rams are hiring Scott Huff as their tight ends coach.

Los Angeles Rams Hire Scott Huff As Tight Ends Coach

Huff joins the Rams after serving as the offensive line coach for the Seattle Seahawks last year. This doesn’t all fall on Huff, but the Seahawks offensive line was downright awful last season. Per the Pro Football Network, they finished 30th in the NFL with a regular season grade of 57.7.

Huff will have a different role as tight ends coach, but it is worth noting.

Prior to the Seahawks, Huff was the OL Coach for the Washington Huskies and Boise State before that. He has largely been with Ryan Grubb (Seahawks OC last year) for most of his career but did not follow Grubb to Alabama to reunite with Kalen DeBoer.

Huff will be tasked with improving a tight end room that was largely ineffective most of the season (in the passing game) with Tyler Higbee out for much of the year with an injury.

The room did however finish the season strong, and we even saw some flashes from Davis Allen and Hunter Long.
