Once the Los Angeles Rams’ offseason began, it was revealed that the team would consider trading Cooper Kupp this offseason. The news didn’t come as a big shock, considering Rams trade rumors involving Kupp emerged while the team was struggling early during the 2024 season, yet it’s never easy to part ways with a former All-Pro.

However, with the entire NFL aware of the fact that Kupp is available via trade, now we’re learning of some of the Rams’ potential trade suitors.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, one of the teams that could trade for Kupp is the Washington Commanders.

“(The Los Angeles Rams would) prefer to get some sort of compensation for him. They’re going to save at least $7 million on their cap by doing so. Talking to people around the league, he will have a market because he’s so quarterback friendly. The Patriots could look into this, certainly Washington is looking for a complimentary No. 2 receiver, and the Steelers as well.”

The Commanders are expected to aggressively target impactful roster upgrades this offseason after Jayden Daniels emerged as one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, even as a rookie. If they make a strong enough offer, Kupp could be heading east.
