In true Les Snead fashion, the Los Angeles Rams traded out of the first round yesterday. They sent their 26th overall pick and a 2025 third-round pick to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for the 46th overall pick, a 2025 7th-round pick, and a 2026 first-rounder.
We are just about an hour away from the 2nd round kicking off, and the Rams will have to wait 13 picks until they are on the clock. Who will they select when it is their time?
There has been plenty of chatter about their need for a cornerback or adding a dynamic tight end. There was also the report that they attempted to trade UP in the first round in order to draft talented wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. Could they take one of the receivers left at 46?
Matt Miller of ESPN dropped his day two predictions, and he has the Rams taking Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe.
Los Angeles Rams Predicted To Select Quarterback Jalen Milroe With Pick 46

The Rams, as currently constructed, do not have a succession plan at the quarterback position when Matthew Stafford decides to call it a career.
Many will point to the fact that they just acquired another first-round pick for next year’s draft, giving them the capital to go after one of the top QBs next year.
However, Milroe is an extremely gifted quarterback prospect that they could select now without rushing to throw him into the fire.
“The Rams had a private meeting with Milroe in the predraft process – they were the final team he met with. Milroe can see the field as a rookie in some running and goal-line packages while developing his passing mechanics under coach Sean McVay.”

The 6’2, 225-pound QB out of Katy, Texas, finished last season at Alabama with 2,844 yards passing, 16 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He added 726 yards on the ground and 20 rushing touchdowns.
Dane Brugler of The Athletic ranks Jalen Milroe as the 5th-best quarterback and the 73rd overall prospect.
