The Los Angeles Rams started the offseason with NFL rumors suggesting a retool was possible with Cooper Kupp on the chopping block and Matthew Stafford involved in trade talks. With Stafford brought back and Davante Adams signed, the Rams could have even more moves planned this offseason.
While Kupp was a fan-favorite and had great chemistry with Stafford, the Rams upgraded at wide receiver and landed someone who provides a more complementary skill set to Puka Nacua. In 2024, Adams had a route win rate higher than Kupp and he’s also proven far more durable in recent years.

Los Angeles also re-signed wide receiver Tutu Atwell to a one-year deal and it added defensive tackle Poona Ford to strengthen the defensive line. On both sides of the ball, the Rams have made improvements and there’s a belief that general manager Les Snead isn’t done yet.
Senior NFL reporter Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports shared on Friday’s Inside Coverage podcast that he believes the Rams aren’t done making moves this offseason. He also cited the signings of Ford and Adams giving Los Angeles more flexibility in the 2025 NFL Draft.
“I honestly don’t think the Rams are done either…I actually like how he (Davante Adams) fits with Puka. Then you bring Tutu Atwell back on a one-year deal, what that tells me is they’re probably going to address wide receiver again, probably in the draft at some point. Maybe early in the draft, I don’t think they’re done adding to that offense but they give themselves flexibility.”

In recent mock drafts, Los Angeles has been projected to use its first-round pick on a variety of positions. From snagging one of the top tight ends – Mason Taylor or Colston Loveland – to taking the best defensive player available in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With Ford added to the Rams defensive line, it’s certainly possible that Los Angeles holds off on drafting a defensive tackle until Day 2. Instead, the club could target off-ball linebacker Jihaad Campbell or they could address a glaring need in the secondary.
While the 2025 NFL Draft class isn’t particularly strong at wide receiver, there are several Day 2 targets who could interest the Rams front office in the third round. Cornerback has been viewed as one of the biggest Rams team needs in 2025 and not addressing it in NFL free agency could be an early sign that it will be prioritized in Round 1.
