Round 2, 46th overall: Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon

With their first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Rams select a tight end out of Oregon, Terrance Ferguson. At 6’5, 255 pounds, Ferguson is a big body that should acclimate into Sean McVay’s offense. He finished last year at Oregon with 43 catches, 591 yards, and 3 touchdowns.

Grade: C+

Ferguson is a nice player and plays a position that the Rams certainly needed to add in this year’s draft. However, it feels like a bit of a reach with the players that were still available.

At the tight end position, Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo was still available. Dane Brugler of The Athletic had Arroyo as his 41st-ranked overall player, and Ferguson was his 75th.

Cornerback Will Johnson was also still available. He was ultimately taken one pick later by the Cardinals, and now the Rams will have to go up against him twice a year.

At the end of the day, Ferguson is a solid, consistent player who should play a fairly prominent role as a rookie.

Round 3, 90th overall: Josaiah Stewart, EDGE, Michigan

With the 90th pick, the Rams decide to add some depth to their pass rushing room by selecting Josaiah Stewart. He finished last year with 33 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.

Grade: B-

Stewart is a fantastic athlete with a bunch of different pass rush moves. He will fill the depth void left by Michael Hoecht, who signed with the Buffalo Bills in free agency. Stewart is 6’1 and 245 pounds.

Round 4, 117th overall: Jarquez Hunter, RB, Auburn

The Rams traded up 10 picks from 127 to 117 in order to select Auburn running back Jarquez Hunter.

Grade: B

Hunter was very productive during his time with Auburn. Last year, he finished with 1201 yards and 8 touchdowns. He is not a true burner, but with a 4.44 40 time, he does have some juice, which is something that the Rams’ running game has been lacking.

This is now the 8th straight draft in which the Rams have drafted a running back, which is the longest active streak in the NFL.

One pick before, the Houston Texans drafted USC running back Woody Marks. The Rams have not drafted a USC Trojan since 2013, when they were in St. Louis and drafted T.J. McDonald.

Round 5, 145th overall: Ty Hamilton, DT, Ohio State

The Rams trade up into the 5th round and add some depth to their defensive line room with the selection of defensive tackle Ty Hamilton.

Grade: A-

At 6’3, 295 pounds, Hamilton finished last year with 51 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery.

A very productive player who won a national championship with Ohio State. Dane Brugler of The Athletic had a 3rd-round grade on Hamilton, so this is a tremendous value pick in the 5th round.

The Rams traded pick 195 and a future 4th-round pick to the Bears in order to move up.

Round 5, 172nd overall: Chris Paul Jr., LB, Ole Miss

The Rams finally address their need at linebacker and select Chris Paul Jr. out of Ole Miss.

Grade: B+

The Rams traded up AGAIN to make this selection, so they really like the prospect. Paul Jr. is the 7th-ranked linebacker on Dane Bruglar’s big board and was given a 3rd-4th round projection. He played MIKE linebacker and had a nose for the football at Ole Miss.

He will likely be a starter on special teams, but with the Rams lack of depth at LB, he will have the opportunity for playing time on defense.

Round 7, 242nd overall: Konata Mumpfield, WR, Pittsburgh

With their final pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Rams select wide receiver Konata Mumpfield out of Pittsburgh.

Grade: B+

Mumpfield finished last year with 813 yards and 5 touchdowns. He ran a 4.59 40 at the NFL Combine, so he doesn’t have elite breakaway speed, but he does have good get-off quickness and immediate separation, and is a really solid route-runner.

Mumpfield will likely be a special teams player, but as we have seen with Rams late-round picks, he will certainly have an opportunity to get on the field.
