Las Vegas Raiders draft analysis 2025: Live pick-by-pick analysis of Raiders draft picks this year
1st Round, 6th overall: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

With the 6th overall pick, the Raiders select arguably the best offensive player in the draft in running back Ashton Jeanty.
Jeanty finished last season with 2,601 yards rushing and 29 touchdowns. He was integral in the Broncos’ making the College Football Playoff.
Grade: A
The Raiders were in desperate need to add a talented running back. With Chip Kelly running the offense, we know that running the football successfully is an absolute must for the offense to operate.
Jeanty will take some of the pressure off quarterback Geno Smith. The Raiders still need wide receiver help, so we will see as the NFL Draft rolls on if they add that to their arsenal.
2nd Round, 37th overall: Traded To Miami Dolphins

2nd Round, 58th overall: Jack Bech, WR, TCU

The Raiders get one of the most talented and productive wide receivers in the NFL Draft in TCU product Jack Bech. He also has one of the most inspiring stories as he tragically lost his brother in the New Orleans terrorist attack on New Year’s Day.
Last season at TCU, Bech finished with 62 receptions, 1,034 yards, and 9 touchdowns.
Grade: A
This is a fantastic pick for the Silver and Black. They needed to add more receiving talent for QB Geno Smith, and Bech is one of my favorite prospects in the entire draft.
He has good size, 6’1, 215 pounds, and he has fantastic hands with a massive catch radius. He will have an early impact with the Raiders and will expand his role as the season progresses.
He was the MVP of the Senior Bowl and scored the walk-off winning touchdown.
3rd Round, 68th overall: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State

The Raiders address their need at corner with the selection of Iowa State CB Darien Porter. At 6’3 and 195 pounds, Porter is a bigger corner who can bring the wood.
Grade: B
This is a solid pick at a position of need. Porter has elite speed as he ran a 4.3 40 at the NFL Combine. There were a few other CBs available, such as Shavon Revel Jr. and Nohl Williams, who I had rated a bit higher than Porter, but this is still a really solid pick.
3rd Round, 98th overall: Caleb Rogers, OG, Texas Tech

The Raiders add to their offensive line with the selection of Caleb Rogers out of Texas Tech. While he played offensive tackle in college, he will presumably play inside at guard with the Raiders.
Grade: B-
Rogers is 6’5, and weighs 310 pounds.
3rd Round, 99th overall: Charles Grant, OT, William & Mary

With back-to-back picks, the Raiders double down and select another offensive lineman, Charles Grant, out of William & Mary.
Grade: B+
Grant was given a 3rd round projection by Lance Zierlein, so the Raiders are able to draft him right at the end of the 3rd round. He is 6’5 and weighs 311 pounds.
4th Round, 108th overall: Dont’e Thornton Jr., WR, Tennessee

The Raiders already added one receiver with the selection of Jack Bech, and now they add another with Tennessee WR Dont’e Thornton Jr. He finished last season with 661 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Grade: A-
It has been stated before, but this feels like an Al Davis pick. Thornton Jr. is an absolute burner as he ran a 4.3-second 40 at the NFL Combine. He also averaged an astounding 25.4 yards per reception, which led the SEC. For a 4th round selection, this is a home run…pun intended.
4th Round, 135th overall: Tonka Hemingway, DT, South Carolina

The Raiders add to their defensive line with the selection of South Carolina DT Tonka Hemingway. He finished last season with 25 total tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks.
Grade: B-
Hemingway is a big body at 6’3, 300 pounds. He comes from a very stout defense in South Carolina and will be a nice depth piece for the Raiders.
6th Round, 180th overall: JJ Pegues, DT, Ole Miss

The Raiders add to the trenches again with the selection of DT JJ Pegues out of Ole Miss. At 6’3, 309 pounds, Pegues is a big body who played all across the defensive line for the Rebels, so he brings a lot of versatility to the Raiders.
Grade: B
Pegues is agile and has elite quickness for his size. I’d like this pick even more, except that UCLA DT Jay Toia is still available, whom I have ranked a bit higher.
6th Round, 213th overall: Tommy Mellott, WR, Montana State

This is a bit of a peculiar pick for the Raiders. Mellott played quarterback at Montana State, but with the other QBs still available, the thought is that the Raiders will be converting Mellott to a QB/WR hybrid, similar to Taysom Hill. You could even compare him to Julian Edelman, who played QB in college but was immediately converted to WR with the Patriots.
Grade: B+
It’s hard to grade this pick just because he will be playing a different position, but at this point in the 6th round, it’s a fun flyer that has tremendous upside.
6th Round, 215th overall: Cam Miller, QB, North Dakota State

After taking a QB that will be converted to a WR just two picks prior, the Raiders select a true quarterback in North Dakota State QB Cam Miller.
Grade: C
Miller is a two-time national champion at NDSU, but played in a very run-heavy scheme, and Texas QB Quinn Ewers is somehow still available. There are no “bad picks” at this point in the draft, but Ewers would have provided much higher upside.
7th Round, 222nd overall: Cody Lindenburg, LB, Minnesota

The Raiders complete the 2025 NFL Draft with the selection of Minnesota LB Cody Lindenburg. He finished last season with 94 total tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and 1 interception.
Grade: B
Lindenburg is a prototypical Big Ten linebacker and had a very solid career with the Minnesota Gophers. He was Brugler’s 16th-ranked linebacker in the class, so good value in the 7th round.
