As Ashton Jeanty prepares for the 2025 NFL Draft, his focus is on finding the right organizational fit. With the Las Vegas Raiders expressing clear interest, Jeanty has acknowledged that he would be open to joining the team.
The Raiders, holding the No. 6 overall pick, have made their interest in Jeanty known. When asked about his thoughts on the team, Jeanty described Las Vegas as a “great organization,” emphasizing the importance of finding the right fit.
Ashton Jeanty Shares Thoughts on Las Vegas Raiders After Meeting

“I think, most importantly, you want to go to the right fit, the right organization,” Jeanty told Jay Trust of KTVB news. “It’s about being with the right fit, just like Boise State was the right fit, even though I chose it. Hopefully, the team that chooses me knows I’m the right fit… [The Raiders are] a great organization. I know they can use a running back. They got that nice pick, No. 6, so we’ll see what happens. It’s been great meeting with them.”
Jeanty is widely regarded as the top running back in this draft class. While North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton is also projected to be a first-round selection, he’s expected to be taken outside the top 10. Jeanty is the only running back consistently projected to be an early pick.

Should the Raiders select Jeanty, it would further enhance their offseason offensive overhaul. Following the hiring of Pete Carroll as head coach, the team has added Geno Smith and Alex Cappa, signaling a significant shift in their roster strategy. With more potential moves on the horizon, the Raiders have already made substantial improvements.
The Raiders are currently the betting favorites to draft Jeanty, with odds of +105 on FanDuel Sportsbook. The Chicago Bears (+140) and the Dallas Cowboys (+650) are also considered potential destinations. Some analysts also believe the New England Patriots, who have yet to address their running back needs in free agency, could be a dark horse contender for Jeanty at No. 4.
Regardless of where he lands, Jeanty is heavily favored to be the first running back selected in the draft, with odds exceeding -1000 across various sportsbooks.
