The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly interested in Cooper Kupp, following his release from the Los Angeles Rams, but only if the financial terms are agreeable. According to Tashan Reed of The Athletic, the Raiders’ interest is contingent on “if the price is right.” Kupp was released by the Rams after they were unable to secure a trade partner for the remaining two years and $57 million on his contract. Spotrac projects Kupp’s next deal to be around $11 million per year.
Las Vegas Raiders Interested In Cooper Kupp

The Raiders’ current receiving corps includes Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers, who are expected to be key targets for newly acquired quarterback Geno Smith. Kupp’s recent performance has been hampered by injuries, as he hasn’t surpassed 850 receiving yards in a season since his 2021 Offensive Player of the Year campaign, which culminated in a Rams’ Super Bowl victory. He has missed a total of 18 regular-season games over the past three seasons. In 2024, after suffering a high ankle sprain, he averaged a career-low 10.6 yards per catch, though he still managed 710 yards and six touchdowns on 67 receptions, along with 90 yards on six catches in two playoff games.
While Kupp’s injury history may cause the Raiders to exercise caution in their offer, their recent acquisition of Geno Smith indicates a willingness to take risks to contend in the near future. Adding a veteran receiver like Kupp to complement Meyers and Bowers could accelerate their rebuilding process after a disappointing 4-13 season.
However, the Raiders may face competition from other teams seeking wide receiver depth. Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 identified the Green Bay Packers as a team “to watch” in the pursuit of a top target for quarterback Jordan Love.
