Shedeur Sanders, the Colorado quarterback and top draft prospect, has maintained a publicly expressed interest in the Las Vegas Raiders for over a year. While the more overt displays of this interest have lessened as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, he recently addressed the team more directly at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.
With Raiders General Manager John Spytek and Head Coach Pete Carroll both present, Sanders revealed that he engaged in discussions with them and reiterated his desire to visit the team in Las Vegas prior to the draft.
Shedeur Sanders Has Great Admiration For Las Vegas Raiders New Brass

“I met with them here, I met with a lot of teams here,” Sanders told reporters during a press conference. “It’s truly exciting, being able to meet Coach [Pete Carroll] and everybody with the organization and staff. So, if they call me and they say, ‘Come on and visit,’ you know I’ll be there.”
Based on his recent comments, it appears that Sanders’ interest in joining the Las Vegas Raiders remains strong. He also expressed considerable admiration for Raiders minority owner Tom Brady.
“Tom Brady, he’s an all-time great,” Sanders said. “Being able to have that resource, being able to have that person I’m able to talk to and call whenever I’m having questions about the game, he’s able to relate to it, because he did it at the highest level. It’s truly amazing. I’m thankful for that.”
Sanders’ history as one of Brady’s NIL athletes has fostered a relationship between the two over the years. Whether this established connection will play a role in the Raiders’ final draft decision is a matter of speculation.
