Las Vegas Raiders Urged To Take Huge Swing To Solve QB Problem

The Las Vegas Raiders keep slightly missing out on good quarterbacks. In last year’s NFL Draft, they missed out on securing a first-round quarterback, with the Denver Broncos selecting Bo Nix just before their turn at the 13th pick. Late last week, Matthew Stafford decided to stay with the Los Angeles Rams despite a better offer from Las Vegas

However, the Raiders found a bright spot in rookie tight end Brock Bowers, who earned All-Pro honors and broke multiple receiving records, posting an impressive 112 catches for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns. It’s plausible that Bowers could have achieved even greater statistical success with more consistent quarterback play, considering that Gardner Minshew II, Aidan O’Connell, and Desmond Ridder each started at least one game for the Raiders during the 2024 season.

Bleacher Report thinks now is the time for Las Vegas to go all out to draft a quarterback this year by trading up with the Tennessee Titans to get the top spot.

Las Vegas Raiders receive: 2025 No. 1 pick

Tennessee Titans receive: 2025 No. 6 pick, 2025 3rd-rounder, 2026 1st-rounder, 2026 3rd-rounder and G Dylan Parham

“First-time general manager John Spytek can make a strong statement by moving up for a long-term solution at the most important position. “I wouldn’t rule out anything,” Spytek said in response to a question about trading up for Cam Ward or Sheduer Sanders.

While the Raiders are more likely to wait it out with the possibility that Sanders is available after the top five selections, Spytek’s willingness to be aggressive could set the team up for decades if the top quarterback becomes a franchise player.

As the Raiders general manager, Titans assistant general manager Dave Ziegler selected Parham in the third round of the 2022 draft, his first-ever draft pick as a lead front-office executive. With a need at right guard, Tennessee may see value in Parham as an addition to the Raiders’ trade package.”

While the Tennessee Titans currently hold the coveted No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the landscape could shift significantly before the selection process commences on April 24th. Titans General Manager Mike Borgonzi, speaking to reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine, confirmed that multiple teams have expressed interest in acquiring the top pick. This aligns with Borgonzi’s previous statements in January, where he emphasized the value of accumulating draft capital. “Draft picks are our biggest form of currency, so when there are opportunities to trade back to collect more picks, we’re going to do that,” he told reporters.

Given the historical precedent of teams trading up for the No. 1 overall selection, the Titans could potentially secure a substantial return for their pick. The allure of acquiring a franchise quarterback, with prospects like Ward and Sanders potentially available, could entice several teams to make a bold move. Let’s examine which teams might be most inclined to pursue the No. 1 pick and explore the potential cost of such a trade.
