Despite the New York Jets’ 5-12 record in 2024 and their position as one of the AFC’s struggling teams, Aaron Rodgers delivered a respectable statistical season, throwing for 28 touchdowns against 11 interceptions with a 90.5 passer rating.

The Las Vegas Raiders, seeking to address their quarterback situation after subpar performances from Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew last season, are under pressure from their new regime, led by general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll, to immediately compete for a playoff berth.

While Aaron Rodgers may no longer be considered an elite quarterback, he could provide a significant upgrade for Las Vegas and potentially thrive under the guidance of Carroll and new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. The Raiders’ offensive roster already features notable talent, including veteran receiver Jakobi Meyers, All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers, and a solid offensive line anchored by blindside protector Kolton Miller.

Moreover, the Raiders are projected to have approximately $96 million in salary cap space and a top-ten draft selection, enabling them to further enhance their roster on both sides of the ball.

In essence, acquiring Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback for the 2025 season would represent a logical move for Spytek. The future Hall of Famer, likely available at a reasonable cost, could flourish in a Las Vegas offense that is poised for productivity with competent quarterback play.
