Maxx Crosby Demands 1 More Thing From Las Vegas Raiders Hours After Massive Contract Extension

Maxx Crosby’s desire to remain with the Las Vegas Raiders has always been clear, a sentiment reciprocated by Raiders owner Mark Davis. While the future remains uncertain, Crosby’s recent three-year contract extension, valued at $106.5 million with $91 million guaranteed, significantly increases the likelihood of him spending his entire career with the team that drafted him in 2019.

At just 27 years old, Crosby’s career trajectory suggests many more productive years ahead. His new contract, extending through 2029, solidifies his commitment to the Raiders.

“I envision Maxx being a Raider for a long time,” stated new General Manager John Spytek, as reported by Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “And I think that’s what he wants, too.”

Crosby’s contract now positions him as the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, surpassing Justin Jefferson. The four-time Pro Bowler described this achievement as “an absolute blessing in so many ways.”

“It’s one thing to be the face of a franchise,” Crosby emphasized. “But I want to be a winner.”

During Crosby’s six seasons with the team, the Raiders have compiled a 43-57 record, achieving only one winning season, one postseason appearance, and no playoff victories. Despite his impressive individual statistics—59.5 sacks and 144 quarterback hits—the team has yet to overcome its playoff drought, which extends back to 2002.

However, Crosby has expressed optimism following the hiring of Super Bowl-winning coach Pete Carroll.

“I am extremely excited and motivated,” Crosby said, via Ryan McFadden of ESPN. “I have been here for seven years, and it has been a blessing. . . . A lot of people in this building have helped me. I am about to be five years sober in a week, and without that, I wouldn’t be here.”
