Tyler Higbee Firing On All Cylinders. Scores 2 Touchdowns In 1st Half Vs Cardinals

Los Angeles Rams tight end, Tyler Higbee hadn’t scored a touchdown since Christmas Day 2022. That was a two-TD game for Higbee against the Denver Broncos. Higbee scored his first and second today against the Arizona Cardinals. This is only the 4th multiple-touchdown game of his career.

While Higbee has never been a touchdown target for the Rams he has been a primary component of the offense. But this year that hasn’t been the case. He is averaging just 2.7 catches per game. Last season he averaged 4.2. Whatever the reason for his lack of production this season it is evident that Tyler Higbee is the Rams tight end for the foreseeable future for two reasons. One, they just extended Higbee’s contract by two years. They also don’t seem to think that they have another viable option on the roster.

That is what makes the two touchdowns so important. It proves that Tyler Higbee can be an actual functioning part of the Rams offense and that the Rams offense has a spark of life in it, but also that Higbee still has gas in the tank.
