The UCLA Bruins led the Pac-12 in draft selections with six, their most since 2016. Headlined by Greg Dulcich and Sean Rhyan, this was one of the better draft classes in recent memory. Not all of the 2022 UCLA NFL Draft picks saw action in their first week in the league, but some saw an increased role as the season went on. It’ll be interesting to watch their careers unfold as they get more reps with their respective teams. But as of now, we have one year to consider.

Kyle Phillips: WR Tennessee Titans

Kyle Phillips was a 5th-round pick by the Titans this past draft, in a Titans rookie class headlined by first-round receiver Treylon Burks. Phillips led the Titans in receiving his first game with 6 receptions for 66 yards. His longest catch of 21 yards put the Titans in field goal range in the final moments of the game. Phillips then fell out of favor in Tennessee, only catching two balls the next four weeks before getting injured. In a Titans’ shallow receiving room, he’s a guy that can certainly make an impact.

Greg Dulcich: TE Denver Broncos

Greg Dulcich opened the year for the Broncos on IR but after returning from injury he had a stellar couple of games. He quickly took over as the Broncos first option at tight end. If he continued his pace he would have finished 7th in receiving yards among tight ends and caught 56 balls. A top-10 tight end season is pretty good for a rookie also considering the fact that the Broncos offense was one of the worst this year.

Brittain Brown: RB Raiders

Brittain Brown didn’t get the chance to play in the regular season, but shined in the limited preseason action he saw. In the three games he started as the primary back, he totaled 152 yards averaging 4.5 yards a carry. Brown was a complementary back behind Zach Charbonnet at UCLA but was still able to put up good numbers, and I’d expect the same from him in the league. If the Raiders decide to go with him and Zamir White over Josh Jacobs next season, that’d be a solid duo.

Quentin Lake: S Los Angeles Rams

Quentin Lake hardly saw any action in his rookie year mostly due to injury. You won’t see McVay play rookies that often as well which resulted in Lake taking his majority of snaps at the end of the year. For the most part, he was a special teams contributor but it’s looking like he’ll play a bigger role next season if the Rams don’t re-sign their starters at safety.

Sean Rhyan: OG Green Bay Packers

Sean Rhyan is another Bruin that didn’t see much action his rookie year with only a snap on special teams versus the Lions in November. He’s behind on the depth chart in Green Bay, listed as a third-stringer so it’ll be interesting to see when he gets more action.

Otito Ogbonnia: DL Los Angeles Chargers

Otito Ogbonnia was in the rotation on the Chargers‘ defensive line before getting hurt in Week 10. He finished with 14 tackles and 1 tackle for loss on the season and played a lot on special teams.
