Linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale announced Wednesday that UCLA football was among three schools remaining in his search for a college football home. He will announce his choice on July 1st.
If the Bruins land the 4-star, it will mark the 12th 2025 commit and may vault the recruiting class into the top 25. Head coach DeShaun Foster has made quite an impact in his first year as head coach. Foster extended a scholarship offer to the Washington native in early March of this year, one of the last of 20 schools to do so, and he officially visited UCLA a month ago.
The Florida Seminoles and Washington Huskies are his other two finalists. On3 gives the home state Huskies a big edge from its recruiting prediction machine, with a 94.4 percent chance. Both UCLA and FSU are given less than a two percent chance.
Rainey-Sale had a short-lived commitment to the Huskies in January that lasted four days.
Will UCLA Football Land Its 12th 2025 Prospect?
The 6-foot-2 linebacker from Bethel HS is the top-rated prospect out of Washington State and is the 15th-ranked LB nationally.
As a junior, Rainey-Sale compiled 65 tackles, including six for loss and four sacks, in just six games. He also caught 13 passes for 230 yards and four touchdowns.
