UCLA Bruins Biggest Highlights From Their 35-32 Win Over Rutgers

The UCLA Bruins went into Piscataway New Jersey with a 1-5 record and on a five-game losing streak. The offense caught fire, scoring more than double the single-game points they had put up all year.

UCLA Bruins Vs Rutgers Highlights

They got right to work. On the first drive, the UCLA Bruins drove 70 yards to Rutgers’ five-yard line when they dialed up this play, resulting in the game’s first touchdown to Logan Loya

On the Bruins’s third offensive possession, they had driven just inside Rutgers territory when Eric Bieniemy called the fifth passing play of the 10-play drive. But Garbers quickly pulled the ball down and scrambled to his left. About four yards down the field, Rutgers defender, Desmond Igbinosun was waiting to make an open-field tackle. Garbers threw on the breaks, making the player miss, and took the ball for a touchdown.

On the next drive, Ethan Garbers carved up the competition with completions of 20, 18, 14 and finally, this 22-yard throw to TJ Harden

Keegan Jones shows off his wheels to cap off this two-play drive. His catch and run resulted in a 68-yard touchdown. Jones finished the day with 114 yards receiving, leading the team.

The Bruins struggled on the ground against the Scarlett Knights but Garbers got all the running backs involved in the passing game. This was Jalen Berger’s lone catch of the game. It came at the beginning of the fourth quarter and would be the last points the Bruins scored.

The defense struggled to stop the run and gave up several explosive plays in the passing game as a result. But in this instance, Bryan Addison recognized the play that burned him earlier in the game and made Rutgers pay for trying it again. Addison picked off the ball and all but sealed the game for the UCLA Bruins
