Wayshawn Parker, 247 Sports’ top running back in the NCAA Transfer Portal, has begun his official visit schedule. The former Washington State standout ranked No. 4 at his position by On3, is set to visit the UCLA Bruins, as well as crosstown rivals USC Trojans, Arizona Wildcats, and Utah Utes in the coming weeks.

Parker, who possesses three years of remaining eligibility, will visit Arizona this weekend, followed by USC on Monday and Tuesday. He will then travel to UCLA for a two-day visit before concluding his tour in Utah.

Parker accumulated 735 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 137 carries. He also contributed in the passing game, recording 108 receiving yards and a touchdown while with the Cougars.

Parker’s impressive performance against Utah State, where he rushed for 149 yards including a 75-yard touchdown run (the longest by a Washington State player since 2006), highlighted his explosive potential.

In perhaps the biggest blow to the Bruins’s offense, 2024’s leading rusher, and second-leading receiver, TJ Harden, announced he would enter the transfer portal days after the team finished their season with a win over Fresno State.

Adding Parker would not only go a long way toward alleviating the loss of Jones, but it would likely serve as an upgrade in the position. But the competition will be tough as USC attempts to rebuild their RB room after losing Woody Marks to the NFL Draft and Quinten Joyner to the transfer portal. Not to mention the fact that the Wildcats and the Utes will be looking for big upgrades to get to winning form.

The UCLA Bruins also have Jalen Berger, 47 for 178 yards returning as the running back, with one season of eligibility remaining.
