UCLA Football Lands 3-Star Edge Rusher From Northern California

UCLA Football’s recruiting efforts under first-year DeShaun Foster continue to attract talent from the Golden State. On Thursday it was announced that four-star edge rusher Jewelous Walls was the team’s newest player to commit to the school.

Walls will join his Pittsburg (Calif.) Pirates teammate and safety Jadyn Hudson. Hudson committed to UCLA in mid-June.

“The coaching staff is unbelievable, their energy by far is unmatched.” Walls told BRO, “They recruited the heck out of me and off the trip I instantly was introduced to family members. They have chill vibes up in Los Angeles and their family feeling is real.”

The 6 foot 2, 200-pounder had narrowed his search to three schools; Oregon, USC, and Washington. UCLA Football was the final school to extend Walls a scholarship offer, coming earlier this month.

Walls is a three-star in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, the No. 59 edge nationally and the No. 64 prospect in the state of California in 2025 per the composite.

As a junior, Walls compiled 86 tackles, 14 for loss including nine sacks, per MaxPreps. He was even more dominant as a sophomore, racking up 99 tackles, and 25 for loss including eight sacks and four forced fumbles.
