UCLA Football’s Huge Recruiting Weekend: Hosted Several Top Prospects To Unofficial Visits

UCLA football has been on a mission since hiring DeShaun Foster. That mission right now is all about recruiting. They hosted at least six top high school recruits for unofficial visits and extended three more scholarship offers last weekend.

Karson Cox, RB, 2025

A 6′ 190lbs 4-star running back out of Oak Hills High School, Cox has had impressive production over his sophomore and junior seasons. In 2022, he rushed for 1215 yards at 9.5 yards per carry with 18 touchdowns in 11 games. He played in 10 games in 2023, but his production and efficiency went up; 19 touchdowns, 1349 yards at 10.5 yards per carry. He had 128 carries each season. Stats obtained through MaxPreps. The 6’3″ 225 lbs 4-star quarterback threw for 3404 yards and 34 touchdowns with a 117.5 QB rating and a 67.7 completion percentage in his sophomore season at Jesuit High in Tampa. Griffin was one of Foster’s first offers made.

Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, LB, 2025

Zaydrius Rainey-Sale is a 6-2, 220-pound four-star Linebacker from Spanaway, WA. Playing for Bethel High School, he had 118 tackles over the last two seasons. UCLA extended an offer over the weekend.

Demetri Manning, OT, 2025

Demetri Manning is a 6-7, 340-pound 3-star Offensive Tackle from Kent, WA. Manning received an offer from before Foster was hired.

Lucan Amituanai, Edge, 2026

Lucan Amituanai is a 6-4, 220-pound 3-star Edge from Elk Grove, CA. He played 3 games as a sophomore.

Jameson Powell, WR, 2026

Jameson Powell is a 5’10” 150 lbs wide receiver from Folsom, CA. Powell caught 86 passes for 1231 yards and 14 touchdowns in 15 games as a sophomore.
