Daily Fantasy Football QB Pick: Tom Brady vs. Atlanta Falcons – $6,000
Tom Brady hasn’t exactly looked like the future Hall of Fame quarterback that we’ve seen in the past. Through four weeks of NFL action, Brady has been averaging only 16.5 fantasy football points in Draftkings. This could all turn around as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5.
The Falcons have been absolutely shredded by the Brady-led Buccaneers offense. In four total regular season games against the Falcons, Brady has thrown for 1,433 yards, 15 touchdowns, and only two interceptions. Also, you can’t beat this price for Brady in a great match-up against a team he’s been able to light up.
Brady and this Bucs offense have been sluggish to start the season, but this game against Atlanta could be right what the doctor ordered.
Other QB Options: Joe Burrow vs. Baltimore Ravens ($6,7000, Jared Goff vs. New England Patriots ($6,100)
Daily Fantasy Football RB Pick: Damien Harris vs. Detroit Lions – $5,600
With both Mac Jones and Brian Hoyer injured, the Patriots offense is going to be led by rookie Bailey Zappe in Week 5. Zappe looked good in limited action against the Packers last week, but we’ll see what happens with the opposing defense knowing he’s the starter.
With that said, expect the New England offense to be led by the rushing attack with Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson. Now both running backs have been effective, but Harris is still leading this team in rushing attempts and has the most rushing touchdowns as well. Harris is the go-to running back when it comes to the red zone offense as well.
Playing against the Lions, expect this game to be a very offensive type of game. Detroit has surrendered the most rushing touchdowns in the league so far, along with the third most rushing yards. Harris is going to have a great game and should have his fourth straight game this season with a rushing touchdown.
Other RB Options: Jeff Wilson Jr. vs. Carolina Panthers ($5,500), Alvin Kamara vs. Seattle Seahawks ($6,600)
Daily Fantasy Football WR Pick: Terry McLaurin vs. Tennessee Titans – $6,200
The Washington Commanders were always looking for additional playmakers in the passing offense to partner with Terry McLaurin. Finally, they have a good semblance of receivers with Curtis Samuel being healthy and rookie Jahan Dotson starting the season strongly. McLaurin has fallen behind because of that and is ranked third in fantasy football points behind both Dotson and Samuel.
This game against the Titans could be a great opportunity for McLaurin to regain his throne of being the best receiver on the Commanders roster. Tennessee has been terrible stopping the pass, as they’ve given up the fourth most passing yards and are tied for the most passing touchdowns allowed as well. This game should feature quarterback Carson Wentz slinging the ball all over the field and lots of those balls will be going McLaurin’s way.
It doesn’t hurt either that McLaurin is at an affordable price this week against a weak pass defense.
Other WR Options: Mike Evans vs. Atlanta Falcons ($6,900), Tee Higgins vs. Baltimore Ravens ($6,500)
Daily Fantasy Football TE Pick: Zach Ertz vs. Philadelphia Eagles – $4,800
This will be the first time that Zach Ertz is going to face his former team since being traded to the Arizona Cardinals last season. Ertz is currently ranked fourth in both targets and receptions among all tight ends. So clearly, the Cardinals are using him in the offense, especially with DeAndre Hopkins still being out with his suspension.
Coming into this game against the Philadelphia Eagles, this could be a situation where the Cardinals might be playing from behind a lot of the game. This will lead to a lot of passing to get back into the game and a lot more targets and receptions for Ertz as the game goes along. He’s one of the more expensive options in Draftkings this week (sixth most expensive), but Ertz is going to be well worth the price for this revenge game.
Other TE Options: Hayden Hurst vs. Baltimore Ravens ($3,500), Gerald Everett vs. Cleveland Browns ($4,200)
Daily Fantasy Football FLEX Pick: Chris Olave vs. Seattle Seahawks – $5,700
Chris Olave is tied for 15th in the NFL in targets and is currently ranked ninth in receiving yards and he’s only a rookie. Michael Thomas is officially listed out for the Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Jarvis Landry is also listed as questionable and all signs point to Olave having a great game.
The Seahawks have given up the fifth most passing yards in the NFL so far and are tied for ninth in most passing touchdowns allowed. They’ve also forced only two interceptions on defense, which can lead to a lot of passing yards and potential touchdowns for the Saints offense. Olave is going to be the primary receiver in this offense and should be inserted into all fantasy football leagues this week: both regular and DFS ones as well.
Other FLEX options: DeVonta Smith vs. Arizona Cardinals ($6,000), Travis Etienne Jr. vs. Houston Texans ($5,100)
Daily Fantasy Football D/ST Pick: Eagles vs. Arizona Cardinals – $3,500
The Eagles are looking like the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this year. Granted it’s only been four weeks of action, but still, they look really strong to start the 2022 season. The undefeated Eagles take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 and the Cardinals have been looking pretty pedestrian to start the season. Kyler Murray has only five passing touchdowns through four weeks and under 1,000 passing yards.
Along with that, the overall offense is middle-of-the-road when it comes to total yards and points scored. They face an Eagles defense that has forced the most turnovers in the league (tied with the Ravens with 10), forced the second most sacks, and has allowed the lowest completion percentage in the NFL as well. The Eagles defense is worth every penny this week in daily fantasy football and also a sure-fire start here in Week 5.
Other D/ST options: 49ers vs. Carolina Panthers ($3,800), Jaguars vs. Houston Texans ($3,400)
