Madden 19’s Denver Broncos Ratings

Overall Team Rating:

Madden’s 2019 ratings for the Broncos have been released, over this past weekend. Youtuber Miguel “Gator” Lozada via the EA Sports Game Changers boasted some sneak peeks into this years’ Madden NFL 2019. The Denver Broncos were rated a shockingly low 77 overall. Starting out as 75 offense and 83 on defense (22nd in NFL), after ranking 82 overall (15th) last year! Generous considering they posted the worst record in the AFC West last year at 5-11.

Overall 90 or Above: Von Miller

Starting out breaking the team down individually we have our power house LB Von Miller posting a 99 overall. After posting another big year with 10.0 sacks and 51 tackles on the 2017-2018 season. Von solidifies himself yet again as a top tier player tied for second best rating in the game.

Overall 80 or Above: Emmanuel Sanders, Chris Harris Jr.

To kick off the 80 overalls the top 3 are our receiving corps and top corner. Emmanuel Sanders tops the list of the 80’s at 89 overall after a up and down 17-18 season. Sanders put up a tie in career low of 2 TD’s in 11 games started. Looks like Madden gave Sanders a break considering he missed 4 games due to an injury on the season. Next on the list is Chris Harris Jr. (88 overall). Our veteran corner comes in lower than he was last year at 94 overall. Harris posted career lows in almost every category dropping his rank by 6.

Mentioned, above are the top ranked 80’s (Honorable mention DeMaryius Thomas (88) in this year’s game we also have the following 80 or above on the team: Marquette King (84), Bradley Roby (83), Justin Simmons (83), Derek Wolfe (83), Ron Leary (82), Shaquil Barrett (81), Case Keenum (81), Matt Paradis (81), Bradley Chubb (80), Brandon McManus (80), Darian Stewart (80).

70 Overall or Above: Su’a Cravens, Devontae Booker, Brandon Marshall

Looking at the 70 overall or above list not too many big names pop out. You have Shane Ray (77), backup LB and aging RE Clinton McDonald (76). We can also take a look at Su’a Cravens. He only started three games last season, but played in eleven games for the Redskins. Cravens is only 23 years old!  With two years of developed NFL experience watch out for him to make a rise in rating. Next, check out young RB Devontae Booker (76). Booker slowed down last year as he started no games for the Broncos in thirteen appearances. Still posting just short of four yards per carry at 25 years old. Expect more from Booker as a part of the offense without CJ Anderson in Denver anymore.

Last but not least, coming in at a very underrated 77, Brandon Marshall is poised to have a BIG year this year. Marshall coming off his 5th season in the NFL, has posted the biggest year yet. He posted 3.0 sacks, 71 Tackles and 31 AST nearly doubling his totals from last year, also solidifying himself as a starter on our defense. Look out for him to sky rocket in his rating over the first few weeks of the season.

Moving on to the remainder of the 70’s we have included: Domata Peko Sr (79), Garett Bolles (79), Todd Davis (78), Shelby Harris (78), Adam Gotsis (75), Courtland Sutton (75), Jake Butt (74), Jeff Heuerman (74), Will Parks (74), Jared Veldheer (74), Royce Freeman (73), Carlos Henderson (73).

Remainder of the Team

Moving on to the lower role players of the group: third-string QB Chad Kelly (68), our second unit RB’s in De’Angelo Henderson (68) and David Williams (63). Following up after the higher 60’s we move lower into our third-unit TE’s with another 60 overall and a shockingly low 40 overall. Brian Parker (65) and Casey Kreiter (42) come in as the lowest rated players on the team. Last but not least, we have left-guard and right-guard Max Garcia (69) and Connor McGovern (68) coming into the higher 60’s overall.

The Denver Broncos were rated a shockingly low 77 overall. Starting out as 75 offense and 83 on defense (22nd in NFL), after ranking 82 overall (15th) last year!

Final Assessment

Overall, the Broncos team will be an underdog in the game rating wise. Don’t be surprised if you’re shredding teams offenses with the defense, centered around Von Miller. Nevertheless, don’t worry you should expect the players to increase throughout the season. For example, Case Keenum might’ve been snubbed with an 81 overall. He posted career highs in everything last season and Madden dropped his overall by five points from last year’s game to this year. Final verdict, if you use them for your MyPlayer team or just to play your friends, you should have the defensive edge and pull out a win!
