SmackDown Summary
On Raw, we learned three participants who will be in the Money in the Bank (MITB) matches and tonight, with more to be learned on this week’s SmackDown Live. With MITB and Backlash filling a majority of the show, its bound to be a great episode of SmackDown.

Opening Segment
Paige opens SD Live and recaps Backlash while looking forward towards MITB. She announces three MITB qualifying matches: Daniel Bryan vs. Rusev, Peyton Royce vs. Charlotte, and the match starting next: Jeff Hardy vs. The Miz.
Jeff Hardy vs The Miz
The two go back and forth early as we cut to commercial. We come back from the break to find the Miz in control. Late in the match, the two go back and forth until Hardy hits a Swanton Bomb, but Miz rolls out of the pin into a pin attempt of his own to win the match.
Charlotte Flair vs. Peyton Royce
Charlotte takes control early as we cut to break. We come back from commercial to find Royce dominant. The two women go back and forth for the majority of the match until Flair slaps on the Figure Eight and Royce taps out quickly.
Xavier Woods vs. Cesaro
The two competitors trade shots early as their partners look on. With plenty of interference all around, the match starts to break down when Xavier comes off the top rope, only to get met with an uppercut from Cesaro, who pins Woods for the victory.
Becky Lynch vs. Mandy Rose
The two start by trading holds, but the match end very quickly when Rose rolls-up Lynch for the 1-2-3.
Daniel Bryan vs. Rusev
The match starts fast and furious, but as the two men escape to ringside, we cut to break. We come back to see the quick pace hasn’t diminished. The two superstars trade dominance throughout the entirety of the match. The match ends after a Matchka Kick from Rusev, who wins and moves onto MITB.
Conclusion
The night had a great recap for Backlash and also did a fantastic job building up to MITB, revealing three more competitors for the MITB matches. The qualifying matches proved to be great and succeeded in building hype for MITB.
