I, like most wrestling fans, watched Survivor Series Sunday night in Los Angeles. It was actually a very fun show, which I was not expecting given the buildup to it. Every match delivered in its own way and it was truly shocking to see Raw win with a clean sweep (not including the pre-show, of course).
Instead of giving a blah, cookie cutter review, I’m going to find the gifs that described every match to me. Don’t care if you agree or not. Here we go.
Women’s 5-on-5 traditional Survivor Series tag team match
This match belonged to Nia Jax. She decimated the competition, including her own teammate, Sasha Banks. She had MAJOR heel heat following the incident with Becky Lynch last week, and WWE capitalized on it in this match. (The gifs will get more creative after this, I promise).
Seth Rollins (IC Champ) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (U.S. Champ)

This match was fast-paced, exciting and awesome, as it should have been. Nakamura and Rollins exchanged some vicious strikes in the 20-plus minute match. Both guys left looking like a million bucks following this one.
The Bar (SD Live tag team champs) vs. AOP (Raw tag team champs)
If you watched the match, then you know why I chose this gif.
Mustafa Ali vs. Buddy Murphy (c) for the Cruiserweight Championship
The cruiserweights are in a no-win position with the lack of success 205 Live has had. But damn was this match fun to watch. Totally caught everyone by surprise and even garnered a “This is awesome!” chant, which is rare for the cruiserweights. I could watch these guys wrestle 100 times and not get bored.
Men’s 5-on-5 traditional Survivor Series tag team match
It was wild. It was chaotic. It was intense. And by the end, I had a hard time watching Shane McMahon damn-near kill himself to get through that match. Luckily Braun Strowman put him out of his misery at the end.
Charlotte vs. Ronda Rousey (Raw Women’s Champion)
Imagine the brush in the above gif is a kendo stick in the hands of Charlotte and she’s swinging it at Ronda Rousey’s body. That’s essentially what happened here at the end of the match. It was an incredible, back-and-forth battle with a heel turn from Charlotte at the end. She looked insane taking out Rousey, setting the table for a potential rematch at WrestleMania 35.
Daniel Bryan (WWE Champion) vs. Brock Lesnar (Universal Champion)
Lesnar threw Bryan around like a rag doll in this one. It was scary to watch, but then Bryan made a furious comeback to make the match dramatic at the end. It went exactly how the match was supposed to go. Great work from both men.
