Washington Huskies Week One Prospect Game Grades
The Washington Huskies lost a tough game in Week One to Auburn, but only fell three spots in the AP rankings, to number nine. Trey Adams was held out and it’s being reported that he might miss the entire season. Outside of the first few drives, Washington played really well as a whole. They have North Dakota coming to town this week, and they should be able to get back on track and dominate in all three facets of the game.
LT Trey Adams
As mentioned above, Adams might not play all season with a back injury. That doesn’t bode well for his NFL draft status. If he can prove that he’s healthy once the NFL Combine rolls around, he might be able to into in to the top two rounds.

QB Jake Browning
18/32, 296 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Browning turned the ball over twice, but both plays weren’t entirely on him. Jacob Kizer ran the wrong route that made his interception look that much worse. On the option play, offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan said that someone should have checked out of that play. Outside of that, Browning stood in there against a tough Auburn defense and did pretty well for himself.
Grade: B
RB Myles Gaskin
17 carries, 75 yards
Gaskin is typically a very slow starter on the season, and playing Auburn’s stout front seven didn’t make things any easier. He was able to break UW’s school record for career rushing yards, which was his highlight of the game. Gaskin looked strong when he ran over the right side of the line and was able to break a few tackles.

RT Kaleb McGary
McGary held his own against the strong Auburn front. He definitely asserted himself and he looked like he belonged. Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller said that Kaleb McGary has been rising quickly in the eyes of NFL scouts and could be working his way into the first round.

DT Greg Gaines
5 tackles, 1 solo
Gaines proved himself as the number one tackler for the Huskies. He has huge shoes to fill this season since Vita Vea left for the NFL. Gaines showed off a few bursts of athleticism taking off after Jared Stidham on a few roll out plays as well.
Grade: B+
S Taylor Rapp
4 tackles, 2 solo
Taylor Rapp set the tempo for the Huskies early and often, laying a few Tigers out on the first two drives. After that, Auburn did their best to stay away from Rapp. Matt Miller also mentioned that NFL scouts are falling in love with Taylor Rapp, and he did as much as possible to boost his draft stock on Saturday.
