For this week’s waiver wire rankings, the design has been changed. There are now three players per position and they are listed from in order of priority. I hope this gives you guys more information on who to pick up and gives you some other options for those needy positions. So without further ado, Let’s get on to week 15!
Whisnant’s Week 15 Waiver Wire Rankings
Quarterback
The first name is article is a pretty obvious one. If someone let Aaron Rodgers go after his injury, make sure you make a spot for him on your roster. The schedule will not be that kind if Rodgers does return because the Packers next two matchups feature the Panthers and Vikings, but he has also been a great fantasy QB the past few years.
The Blake Bortles pick is because it is looking like December might be Bortles favorite month. Over the last two weeks, He is averaging 70.5% completion percentage and has 577 passing yards, 4 touchdown passes, and zero interceptions. The next matchup for Bortles in the Houston Texans who have a suspect defense and are a lost team since the injury to Deshaun Watson.
The last pickup, Nick Foles, is now the starting QB for the Eagles. It seems like we went back in time but this Eagles team is a much better one since the last time he started. With the next two weeks facing the Giants and Raiders, Foles presents a nice streaming option for both of those weeks unless he just plays poorly. But Foles is one of the better backups in the league and the Eagles could have a similar situation like the Vikings have with Case Keenum.
Running Back
Joe Mixon, the Bengals rookie, was out last week with a concussion and his status is unknown for this weekend. If Mixon remains out, Bernard is a solid RB2 (who is surprisingly only 66% owned in ESPN leagues) even with the Vikings matchup. Bernard is a must have in any league but especially in PPR.
Kerwynn Williams could easily be the main back in Arizona for another week with Adrian Peterson out. If so, Williams will have a matchup against a Redskins defense that is ranked 26th in rushing. The Cardinals have also proved they can be a little frisky and still have a lot of fight in them. So Williams can provide great flex value and in deeper leagues, he can be RB2.
Smith is probably the waiver add with the least priority. He only had a good game because of his receiving while he still struggled fighting off Alfred Morris for carries.
Wide Receiver
Goodwin has been in my last two starts and sits articles and he was in last week waiver pickups. Marquise Goodwin is back on here because the change at quarterback for the 49ers has made him a solid WR2, and he is still only owned in 40.5% of leagues across the ESPN platform. In his last two games, he has the highest total of catches than any other period this season. He almost had 100 yards in both games and he has a touchdown. Goodwin is a must add with the change at quarterback.
Last week, Corey Coleman decided to show up again. Showing that he can do something along with Josh Gordon in this offense, Coleman is a boom or bust pickup for deeper leagues but he can help on receiver-needy teams. In his next matchup, he goes against a Raven’s defense that demonstrated they were not bulletproof and will have all of their eyes on Josh Gordon, hopefully opening up paths for Coleman. The last three weeks have shown that Dede Westbrook is a good rookie wide receiver. He is a little more consistent with Blake Bortles playing well and has a favorable matchup against a struggling Houston secondary.

Tight End
Jesse James will benefit from the Vance McDonald injury and could see a boost to his value. James is a good streaming option this week due to him now being the number one option and the fact that he gets to face the Patriots who have an average defense at best.
Vernon Davis is basically facing the same situation as Jesse James with Jordan Reed predicted to remain out in week 15. Davis has been inconsistent but is still a number one tight end in a decent offense, and is surprisingly only owned in 57% of ESPN leagues.
Garrett Celek is a pickup for those in deeper leagues and he seems to be benefiting off of the Jimmy Garoppolo trade more than George Kittle. Celek gets to face the Tennessee defense this week and is a boom or bust prospect.
