Former USC Trojans star quarterback and Heisman winner Caleb Williams is largely expected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft later this month.
The Chicago Bears boast that selection after a blockbuster trade with the Carolina Panthers last offseason. After trading Justin Fields, it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that Chicago is going to take Williams when all is said and done.
It’s in this that Wednesday’s news regarding William visiting the Bears shouldn’t be considered a surprise. Williams took to the Bears’ facility on Wednesday after being in town for dinner the night before. This will likely be his only pre-draft visit.

Caleb Williams Set Up To Succeed With The Chicago Bears
Bears general manager Ryan Poles has done a whole heck of a lot of work to build a strong supporting cast this offseason with the anticipation of selecting Williams No. 1 overall.
That included acquiring star wide receiver Keenan Allen from the Los Angeles Chargers in a blockbuster trade last month. Chicago also signed Pro Bowl running back D’Andre Swift. The two will team up with Pro Bowl wide receiver D.J. Moore to form an elite trio at the skill positions.
Chicago did not add a veteran with much starter experience at quarterback during NFL free agency. This is a clear indication that its brass believes Williams is ready to start Week 1 as a rookie. The only two quarterbacks on the roster are Tyson Bagent and Brett Rypien.
