USC Trojans Land 3-Star WR From Georgia

USC Trojans extended an offer to the 6′ 180 lbs receiver in January of 2024 along with 32 other schools, including his home state Georgia Bulldogs, South Carolina, Texas, and Ohio State.

On Monday Johnson released a list of his top five schools and today, he announced his commitment to USC.

According to On3: “The Trojans envision him as a wide receiver, defensive back, and a return guy down the road. They are very high on him and his versatility, but he projects as a defensive back for the Doug Belk and the Trojans.”

Johnson was a versatile contributor to Douglas County’s offense in 2022. He not only excelled as a wide receiver, recording 31 receptions, 614 yards, and three touchdowns, but he also showcased his dual-threat abilities by rushing for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, Johnson stepped in at quarterback when the starter was injured, demonstrating his adaptability and skill set.

He also plays key roles on Douglas County’s basketball and baseball teams.
