While the USC Trojans season isn’t going as planned, their recruiting efforts continue to pay dividends. Most recently in the form of a four-star offensive lineman decommitting from a former Pac-12 rival.
Aaron Dunn, a four-star offensive tackle from Spanish Fork, Utah, has de-committed from the University of Utah. He made the announcement on Thursday, ending his commitment that began in August. Dunn was previously ranked as the No. 223 overall prospect and No. 18 offensive tackle in the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

“First I want to thank god for the countless blessings that he has bestowed upon me. After prayers and discussions with my family, I have decided to de-commit from the University of Utah,” Dunn wrote, announcing his decision on X. “Thank you to coach Harding, and Whittingham for giving me the opportunity to play for the team.”
Shortly after both 247 Sports and On3 moved their predictions to the Trojans landing his commitment. Although the Oregon Ducks were in hot pursuit of the 6’8″ 288-pounder. They were the last program he visited before committing to Utah Utes.

Gabe Brooks, a scout from 247 Sports writes this about Dunn: “Tall, athletic offensive tackle prospect with elite height and a lean build that wears existing mass well. Possesses ample bulking capacity as desired.” and “Projects to high-major college competition with the potential to become a desired NFL Draft candidate.”
