USC Trojans: 2 Key Players Questionable Against Maryland

The USC Trojans will be missing several key players for their upcoming game against Maryland. Tight end Lake McRee and cornerback Jacobe Covington are listed as questionable, while backup offensive linemen Micah Banuelos and Gino Quinones, linebacker Eric Gentry, and defensive lineman Anthony Lucas are all out for the season.

USC Trojans Injury Updates

McRee has been out since their game against Michigan, but he will be a game-time decision. He has caught 12 passes for 127 yards and no touchdowns. He often works as a short-area target for quarterback Miller Moss. He is the third-best-graded pass blocker by Pro Football Focus.

Covington has played the second most snaps of any Trojans cornerback. He has allowed 10 receptions on 14 targets, giving up 129 yards. He has 17 combined tackles and one pass breakup.

Additionally, the team will be without linebacker Raesjon Davis and defensive lineman Bear Alexander, who are both redshirting this season. Davis and Alexander did not see enough playing time to avoid redshirting, while Gentry is redshirting due to multiple concussions.
