USC Trojans Starting Safety Kamari Ramsey Announces His Decision For Next Season

The USC Trojans are beginning to stack some small victories this offseason. Yesterday, starting guard Emmanuel Pregnon announced that he would be returning next season for his final year of eligibility. This was a huge win as the Trojans were looking very thin on the offensive line and Pregnon will anchor the unit next year.

Today, the team was met with more positive news.

Starting Safety Kamari Ramsey announced on his Instagram that he will forgo the NFL Draft and will be returning to USC in 2025.

There was plenty of speculation that Ramsey would head to the 2025 NFL Draft. There were Mock Drafts that had him going as high as the 2nd round, but others around the league believed that he could use a bit more development.

Nothing is guaranteed, but another year with Coach Lynn and Coach Belk could move Ramsey into the first round and potentially the first safety drafted.

If Ramsey would have gone to the NFL Draft, the USC Trojans would have lost every single starter in the secondary, so him returning is a huge boost.

DJ Harvey, the CB who just transferred from San Jose State to USC, played with Ramsey in High School at Sierra Canyon. This certainly may have been a factor in Ramsey returning for one more season.

Either way, the Trojans are beginning to stack some wins heading into the true offseason.
