NFL Draft Analyst Surprisingly Low On USC Trojans QB Miller Moss

USC Trojans QB Miller Moss has played fantastic through four games, leading the Men of Troy to a 3-1 record and an 11th overall ranking in the AP Top 25.

Through 4 games, Moss has 1,198 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. He also has 1 rushing TD.

Statistically, Moss ranks 27th in yards and 31st in touchdowns.

Mel Kiper Jr., one of the most well-known NFL Draft analysts, just dropped his latest QB rankings for the 2025 NFL Draft. He ranked Miller Moss 9th, which would have him getting drafted fairly late, or even going undrafted.

Mel Kiper Jr. To Low On Miller Moss?

Kiper Jr.’s current Top 10 QBs are as follows:

  1. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
  2. Carson Beck, Georgia
  3. Quinn Ewers, Texas
  4. Cam Ward, Miami
  5. Jalen Milroe, Alabama
  6. Drew Allar, Penn State
  7. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
  8. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
  9. Miller Moss, USC
  10. Will Howard, Ohio State

Not taking anything away from what some of these other QBs have done, but Moss has played one fewer game than the rest of the list and has gone up against better competition.

Moss has two big wins against LSU and Wisconsin, the former being on neutral turf for the season opener. His one loss came against the 10th-ranked Michigan Wolverines at the Big House. In the loss, he finished with 282 yards and 3 touchdowns, all while being pressured on 27 dropbacks.

There is still a lot of football to be played before we even need to start talking about the 2025 NFL Draft, and who knows if Moss will even declare, but at this point, with the way he has played, it is hard to see there being 8 quarterbacks better than him.

He is making a name for himself, and will continue to get better and get more recognition as the season progresses and if the USC Trojans continue winning.

Their next test will be this Saturday against the Minnesota Gophers in Minneapolis.
