USC Trojans Get Crystal Ball To Steal 4-Star DL From Georgia Bulldogs

The trajectory for the USC Trojans has shifted significantly in the last 36 or so hours. Sports are all about momentum, and that is no different in building a program through recruiting and the transfer portal.

After a slew of players transferred out of the program, the criticism came hot and heavy. But things can change quickly, better or worse, but in the case of USC, much better.

After Emmanuel Pregnon and Kamari Ramsey announced that they would be back with the team in 2025, the Trojans picked up commitments from Kentucky DL Keeshawn Silver and New Mexico RB Eli Sanders. Both are dynamic players who will contribute immediately.

We knew that USC would still be looking to add to the defensive line, and they just picked up a crystal ball to land a big-time commitment from the SEC.

Our friend Scott Schrader over at On3, is predicting that former Georgia Bulldog Jamaal Jarrett will sign with the USC Trojans.

This would be a massive get for USC for two reasons.

One, Jarrett is just a massive individual standing at 6’5″ and weighing 380 pounds. He would be the biggest defensive lineman on the roster, and paired with Keeshawn Silver, they would combine for 710 pounds in the interior of the line.

That is a lot of beef.

And two, while Jarrett played sparingly behind a stacked Georgia front, he is only a sophomore, so there is the opportunity that USC and Coach Henny will have more than one year to develop him.

We know how important DT Jay Toia was to D’Anton Lynn’s defense at UCLA and having the combo of Silver and Jarrett, plus the versatility of incoming freshman Jahkeem Stewart, and up-and-coming players in Deven Thompkins, Jide Abasiri, and Carlon Jones will make this defensive front one of the most talented in the Big Ten.

This past season, we saw how hard the unit worked and developed throughout the season. But they just didn’t quite have the size and talent to hold their own for all 60 minutes. On paper, the 2025 group will be a force to be reckoned with.

We will update this if/when Jamaal Jarrett’s commitment to USC becomes official.
