Another Star USC Trojans Commit Expected To Flip

We are officially in flip season of the College Football recruiting cycle and it looks like the USC Trojans may be hit with another flip prediction.

Tom Loy of 247 Sports logged a Crystal Ball Prediction that 5-star QB Julian Lewis would flip his commitment from USC to Colorado, and now both Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons of On3.com have logged expert predictions that 4-star offensive tackle Carde Smith will also flip from USC to Colorado.

Carde Smith Predicted To Flip From USC Trojans To Colorado

Both Lewis and Smith were seen together in Boulder a few weeks ago, which got the rumor mill churning.

Smith took to X.com and tweeted out, “I am focus on winning a state championship right now I do not have time to talk about recruiting #whynotwilliamson.”

While this does not confirm his decision to flip, it also does not deny it. Smith was previously committed to Auburn before de-committing and pledging to the USC Trojans.

Colorado currently has the 66th-ranked recruiting class in 2025, per On3. It would certainly boost their ranking if they were able to flip both Lewis and Smith.

USC currently has the 12th-ranked 2025 class, according to On3. Losing Smith would be a blow, and would leave them with three offensive linemen in the class, two of whom are offensive tackles Aaron Dunn and Elijah Vaikona.

There will be a lot of movement in recruiting classes over the next few weeks. Buckle up and keep it right here with the LAFB Network!
